Meet Rev Dr. Tiare Gross
The Vision
The vision for Manumit Ministries was downloaded in Dr. T’s spirit around 2013, after a crippling mental health breakdown and long dark seven-year stretch of healing from a silent abuse marriage as an armor bearer in the church. After four years of biblical meditation, prostrate prayer, and reading virtually every self-help, healing, and spiritual growth book on the market, what she learned from that first journey to hell was preparation for helping others gain freedom from low self-worth and generational cycles of toxicity and shame.
The Calling
Undaunted by her past and grounded in her strong spiritual faith, Dr. Gross has a calling and burning desire to open more doors for real conversations in urban and faith-based communities about mental health and recovery. To help others navigate their way out of psycho-emotional pain. Through Manumit Ministries, she combines the transparency of her life with scripture and research-supported psychotherapy to lead others to healing.

**Dr. Tiare Gross was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and attended the prestigious Brooklyn Technical High School. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, and graduate degrees (a Master’s degree in Christian Studies and a PhD in Leadership with a Counseling-Psychology specialization) from University of the Cumberlands – one of the oldest, private, liberal arts universities in the Southern United States. She is proud of her northeast upbringing and strong southern affiliations.

Dr. Gross has completed numerous mental health trainings, is Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certified, and a former member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Domestic Violence Speaker’s Bureau.
As a business professional, she is a former FINRA Series 7 Wall Street broker, operations manager, and small business owner, boasting 20 years of diversified leadership, coaching, and operations expertise in both for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Although she once rubbed elbows with Wall Street power players and music celebrities, today she is fulfilled being an instrument of inspiration, empowering women to shape new beliefs about love, life, relationships, and themselves.
