Meet Dr. Tiare Gross

The Backstory
Dr. Tiare Gross persevered through insurmountable odds to become the woman she is today. From a derelict upbringing cultivated in eight of the original 10 ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experience stressors), including domestic violence and emotional abuse, to a crippling mental health breakdown in a silent abuse marriage while armor bearing in the church, it would take 20 years of faithful tenacity to claw herself out of an abyss most don’t usually ascend. Out of a hellscape most don’t usually escape.
The Calling
Despite her silent suffering, she knew what she learned from that first journey through hell could help countless others gain freedom from generational cycles of toxicity, shame, and abuse. It was her calling to help them navigate their way out of psycho-emotional pain. But there was more.
The Preperation
With a stranger-than-fiction lifestory that sticks to the ribs; those who hear aspects of Dr. T’s life have remarked on its similarities to the journey of Joseph, the burden of Jeremiah, or the scourge of Job. What they don’t know is that combining the painstaking accounts of these remarkable Biblical vessels feels like the tip of her journey. The preparatory years were a grueling, desolate, and soul-crushing forging process.
Even still, Dr. T knows that whoever coined the phrase “hindsight is 20/20” must have been on an intimate faith journey with God themselves. Looking back over her life, every millstone and milestone were orchestrated pit stops inching her closer to the calling and Commission of Luke 4:18 – to bring good news, restore sight to the blind, and set the captives free.
Credentials & Experience
Dr. Tiare Gross was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, where she attended the prestigious Brooklyn Technical High School. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, and graduate degrees (a Master’s degree in Christian Studies and a PhD in Leadership with a Counseling-Psychology specialization) from University of the Cumberlands – one of the oldest, private, liberal arts universities in the Southern United States. After five more years of painstaking tribulations, she’d spend another five years living, laboring in obscurity, and breathing life across the globe. She is proud of her New York upbringing, strong southern affiliations, and global imprint.
As a psychology professional, Dr. T has completed numerous mental health certifications and trainings, including Mental Health First Aid (MHFA). She is also a former member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Domestic Violence Speaker’s Bureau.
As a business professional, Dr. T is a former FINRA Series 7 Registered Representative, operations leader, and leadership coach, boasting 20 years of leadership in for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Although she once rubbed elbows with Wall Street power players and music celebrities, she considers it a privilege to serve God Almighty God, God Most High, The King Eternal who pours out His grace abundantly to strengthen and heal. She is fulfilled giving hope, breathing life, and sowing seeds of wisdom to help women shape new beliefs about life, faith, love, and themselves.
