Reflection
We all suffer heartache at some point or another. The offense of words; the betrayal of a partner, relative, or friend; the loss of a loved one or one’s sense of dignity. Jesus also knew the pain of a broken heart, from rejection and sabotage at the hands of the people He came to enlighten and save. That pain cuts deep. But like God didn’t abandon Jesus in his heartache, He will never abandon you.
No matter your hurt, you are not forgotten by God. His love is unconditional and without border. It has the power to lift you out of any pit. When your heart feels dry with nothing left to give, God can quench your thirst. On days you feel overwhelmed or empty, He can replenish your peace. God is a sure thing. In your deepest heartache, He alone will satisfy your soul. Meet Him in prayer, give Him your broken heart, and trust Him indefinitely.

Dear God. My heart is broken. You know the details. Calm my thoughts. Help me to heal.
